Save the date! Proverbs 12:10 is participating in The Big Payback!

Pets Pay It Forward: Support Proverbs with The Big Payback

The Big Payback is a community-wide, online giving day hosted by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee on May 6, 2014. This charitable giving day will help OUR organization raise much-needed unrestricted dollars to cover vet care during the 'dry' summer months. Our goal of $30,000 will be put towards our vet bills during the months of June, July and August (we average $10k/month in veterinary care).

For 24 hours, beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6th to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, donors can make gifts to participating nonprofits (like Proverbs!) that are located in or provide services in the 40 counties of Middle Tennessee. Simply go to anytime during the 24-hour challenge period and use your credit/debit card to donate a gift. You can search for us by name or program area (animal rescue), and track our progress on a leaderboard in real time.Your contribution (of any size) will directly aid in our mission of "Helping His Helpless" and support our animals right here in Middle Tennessee. We will be eligible for incentives, bonuses and additional prizes throughout the day so your gift would be greatly appreciated.

In addition, volunteers are needed to cross-post all Big Payback posts made on Proverbs' Facebook, Twitter and Instagram during this 24-hour period to generate buzz and encourage as many donations as possible!

For more information please visit or email us at Follow us on Facebook and Instagram and look for our posts with #BigPayback!

Max, a Shepherd mix, came to us about three years ago.  He had been abandoned in East Nashville; obviously "one man's trash"....Max was skinny, dirty, and in much need.  We did the normal stuff to get him ready for adoption, but guess what,????   He now works to help protect the same "species" that dumped him. Max is a search and rescue dog in West Tennessee...Love this dog! He is a "treasure"...

Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of an all volunteer group of dedicated animal lovers who feel it is our privilege to care for God's "helpless" creatures.
We are dedicated to finding "forever" homes for all of our pets. We take in even those "less desirables" that need medical treatment and/or special attention, as welll as those "found or surrendered" pets!  Many times these pets require hundreds or even a few thousand dollars in medical treatment before they can be adopted to a loving family.
Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue does not have a facility. Our organization chooses to keep our pets in Foster Care and show them on Adoption Day every Saturday the Bellevue, TN Petco.
Please see our Fostering Pets Page for information on our Foster Care Program.

Proverbs 12:10 helped Cheatham County Animal Control by rescuing about 28 dogs from the many who were surrendered by a family in November 2009.  Elbert is shown (below left) with Proverbs Director, Lavonne, at the time he was rescued.  He was obviously extremely thin, was covered with bed sores as well as being heartworm positive.  Lavonne provided him with one-on-one attention, home cooked food throughout his heartworm treatment and he is now available for adoption.
