Buster is a big, loveable lug that enjoys attention from all dogs, people and kids.  Active, athletic but can be a snuggler on the couch, too.  He sometimes forgets he is 80lbs as he attempts to sit on your lap or lean up against your leg for pets.  His favorite maneuver is “roll over and scratch my belly” as seen in the picture with the young girl.  His big tongue gives your whole face a dog kiss.  Housebroken and knows basic obedience like “sit” and “stay.”   Still working on leash training and jumping up when excited but getting better every day.  Food motivated so will train easily.  Confident but not dominate, he prefers to be the beta male.  Good companion dog for another dog that likes to play a big dog game.  Spurts of excitement but mostly calm.  

He is a big tail wagging dog because he is so happy to see you. Buster rides in the car better than my own dogs.  He gets excited for the first 10 minutes, tries to help you drive but then lays down in the back seat.  You can’t help but love him because he loves everyone and makes you feel like you have a special connection.  

Buster is not recommended with cats or small farm animals due to prey drive and requires a fence for this reason.  Larger kids and any dogs he would enjoy.  He would love small children too but could knock them over unintentionally.

Buster, the fun, happy lovable boy could become a gentle giant with some consistent training and exercise.
