About Trace from his amazing foster momma:
Trace is really smart, very sweet, getting along with our other dogs.
He is afraid of our kittens, doesn't chase them at all. He would like to be a lap dog. He is doing well on a leash and he stays nearby when off leash. He is still a bit skittish but every day he gets a little more relaxed here at our house. He does sometimes pee a little when scared or stressed and is a submissive dog.
Trace does appear to be housebroken. I kept him out of his crate last night and he didn’t have any accidents in the house.
He is fine in our house overnight, if we just let him sleep on the sofa, but howls for an hour or more if locked in a crate. We really think he will do best in a home with an alpha dog that likes other dogs or a home where the humans are around a lot.
He is an escape artist. We have a 6 x 10 ft dog run that we put him in this morning and he escaped (this is the second time he has done so) by crawling through a small hole in the ground. He does ok however if there is another dog for company. He is motivated to be free, however he doesn’t wander far from the house once he gets out.
He really is a great dog and will do very well in an active household where there are lots of things to keep him busy.
