Delta Dawn is a boxer mix pup that was surrendered to a high kill shelter by a person that found her.  She had a fractured left leg and Proverbs was immediately contacted and agreed to take her in.

As it turns out, her right leg had also been fractured but was healing, the left was not and required surgery with the placement of 3 pins in her tiny 8 wk old leg.  In order to ensure the pins stayed in place this high energy boxer mix pup had to be kept crated to keep her from jumping, climbing and playing as all puppies want to do.  

After 5 wks of being crated, DD had the largest of the pins removed (the other 2 will stay in place permanently as the bone is growing around them) and as the vet stated "she can go back to full speed" in 3 days (3/10).  DD and her foster are looking forward to that day.

DD is a very sweet, loving girl and very smart that will make someone an exceptional best friend.  She gets along with everyone although I think she would love to be allowed to chase the cat - just for fun not to hurt it.
