Labrador Retriever / Husky / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large
Gorgeous E.J., a husky/ shepherd mix, came to Proverbs when a couple of our wonderful volunteers rescued him from a homeless camp in Nashville. He had experienced foraging for food, sleeping out in the storms, battling the heat, and just existing. He has since been fully vetted and has been staying in a wonderful foster home with other dogs and children. E.J. is an energetic boy and needs a fenced yard and an active family. He will make an amazing pet for some lucky family. 8/4/16 update from foster; EJ has the biggest personality, LOVES people, he'll go up to anyone for attention. He is learning sit fairly well, and will sit and wait before walking out the door with you. He's learning to go to the door when he has to go potty. He loves food and will learn quickly when it's his reward, but also can be a little food aggressive around other dogs but not around people at all. He'll let us take bones and his bowl away from him. He likes tennis balls and looks really goofy chasing after them. We let him roam around the bedroom at night when we sleep and he does perfectly fine, no accidents and will sleep happily through the night.
