Beautiful Izzy came to us as an owner surrender. She and her siblings lived outside without a lot of socialization. She has quickly learned that living inside in a loving foster home is a wonderful thing. Requires a yard with a fence.
Izzy is a good natured and trusting dog. She is a real snuggle bug who loves to be with people. She is happy to lay in your lap, have her belly rubbed or even be carried around. She is also happy to follow you around the house and then lay at your feet chewing on a bone or a toy, happily entertaining herself. She is great with people, very loving, patient and gentle. She also loves having a doggie playmate, to chase and rumble, and then to fall asleep and nap with as well. Overall her energy level and pace seem moderate. She is happy to go out in the yard and just sit and look around and observe the world. She does well in a crate when home alone. She also seems to be a quick learner. She has made good progress with potty training, and seems to have learned her name and "sit" in just a week. Her biggest challenge seems to be learning "down" when told not to jump up on furniture or a counter when she is curious. She is a puppy who enjoys having lots of toys, hard bones and ice cubes for chewing on, but with plenty of options she has not tended to chew on other things.
