We rescued Elaine last June 2009 and she is still awaiting her turn at the good life with a forever family. This sweet baby was abandoned with her pups. She was tied to a garage door with her pups (whom we think were dumped else where) and left without food or water. We were contacted about this sweet one who was bone but has since put on weight and is in remarkable spirits. After all the neglect and abuse, she still trusts humans and wants to be loved. Follows you everywhere to be sure you won't leave her behind. She'll be great with someone who works from home or is retired but active. She gets along with other dogs but prefers to be an only dog receiving all the attention all the time. She's not very large for a Sheperd mix - about 50 pounds. She is housebroken, heartworm neg. and we have had her fully vetted. Privacy fence a must (6') because she will jump anything less to be inside with you. Elaine needs to be an inside dog with outside privileges and with an owner who can spend a lot of time enjoying her because she is unhappy when left alone. Elaine needs a foster.
