Callie is a young mom who's fallen on hard times but her gentle, nurturing soul still shines through. She'd be the perfect companion for someone who wants a quiet friendly pet with good house manners. While she isn't interested in long walks in the park, she would love to sit next to someone and soak up all their love while they enjoy a glass of wine and a good Netflix binge-watching session!

Since the very first day Callie came to us, she actively sought out love through pets and cuddles. She carefully accepts treats from our hand, waits patiently while we eat, shows no signs of resource guarding during feedings or playtime at the dog park, is not spooked by loud noises, and intuitively goes potty in the grass. She does well with other dogs and is incredibly kind to young kids.

She is a bit timid on her leash (walks slowly & is submissive to other dogs) and tires out easily on walks. However, she becomes markedly more confident when off of her leash- while never straying too far & continuing to follow commands. So far she doesn't seem too interested in her toys (she'd much rather cuddle & nap) but that also means she hasn't tried to chew any shoes or personal items on lower shelves!

Callie bonds incredibly strongly with her 'special person,' so becomes worried when left alone for too long. She needs an understanding foster/owner who can work with her to become more independent and confident and who has time to be home with her for part of the day.
