Hi! My name is Willow Grace, but you can call me Willow. I am a pure bred miniature Dachshund and will be one year old in November 2021. I am a special needs dog with a condition called Megaesophagus. It 's important that you know that I am a mostly normal dog aside from the cool highchair that I eat meals in. You see, having Megaesophagus means that my esophagus is enlarged and doesn 't work properly to get the food into my stomach. Therefore, I sit in a Bailey Chair, which allows gravity to aid in the digestion process. I eat 3-4 small meals a day and then sit in my chair for 20 minutes afterwards. In fact, I usually just take a little nap while my food settles. After that, I can get down and run around with the other dogs in the house.I still play like a puppy, but I also LOVE to curl up and cuddle on your lap. All of the vets and vet techs love when I come to visit them becauseI am so cuddly and love people! I also get along with the other dogs and puppies in my foster home. I 've met the neighborhood kids and like them too! I haven 't met a cat yet, soI am not sure how I feel about them. I sleep in my crate at night and do great! I also stay in the crate while Foster Mom is at work and never have accidents! I am still working on potty training outside, but I use pee pads well inside.Foster Mom says that any family would be lucky to have me, but it 's important that my family is able to give me the attention and focus that I need to make sure I don 't get sick.
