Gage has had some not-so-pleasant treatment in his past and is not supposed to be good with children.  HOWEVER, after several weeks of watching Gage interact with small children I don’t see a problem.  He wants so much to please you that he is apprehensive he may do the wrong thing.  Gauge has come a LONG way!  After a month with me he realized he is allowed to bark and has the most beautiful voice when someone walks down the road in front of our house.  He gets along with other dogs and puppies and ignores the cat.  Gage needs to feel secure in his home and until he is assured of that he will follow you from room to room.  He does well away from his people, too, and will wait patiently inside or outside, never begging or barking to be with you.  Gauge is a loving, gentle boy who loves to run and play.  He will do anything you ask him to and greets you enthusiastically when you come home.  He loves to be held or curled up as much as he can in your lap but also mellow out by himself.  Gage also rides well in the car.

 Prior posting: Gage is a good dog, well behaved and housebroken but he does not like to be around young children, toddlers and babies included. He does get along well with other dogs.  He is sweet and shy but adjusts nicely given some form of routine in his life full of upheavals.  Sage needs a fenced yard and a foster! He is 2 years old.
