Favor is a beautiful German Shepherd pup that was surrendered by owners. She is good w/ cats, dogs and kids and very smart. Favor was diagnosed w/ megaesophagus shortly after coming in to foster care. This is a disorder that causes them to vomit food unless they are fed upright. She is now on meds 30 min before eating 3 x a day and eats with food on the stairs to elongate her throat and allow food to go down. She then rests 15-30 min upright on the couch. Since being on the meds, the vomitting has pretty well stopped and she has gained weight and is otherwise very healthy. Obviously, Favor needs a special home that can attend to her needs, A "Bailey Box" would be an option - this is a box that is kind of like a high chair and ensures her upright position while eating.
