Our Proverbs volunteer had gotten a call that there was a young puppy being held in isolation at the shelter. He had come in with his mama, and they were both Heartworm positive. The mother was rescued and had been taken for help and treatment, but little Adam, her pup had been left behind in the big cold scary shelter all alone. Time passed and no help came He had been there for so long that it was just a matter of days before he would be PTS to make space for other dogs coming in. The Proverbs volunteer had been called as a last measure. As she walked up to him, he reached up on the cage and licked the volunteers hand. Her heart melted and said, "we don't leave family members behind...your mama is safe and so are you", and off they went. Adam continues to be one of the sweet, kindest little dogs ever. He is fully vetted and neutered. He has just started HW treatment an it will be April before he is ready. Currently living with several other dogs and a pot belly pig, He is happy and playful. He loves to lay in the sun all day! We just can't get enough of this special little guy. We are looking for a very special home for him to call his own, with a family he can give his whole heart to for the rest of this life. Please take a look at this sweet boy!
