Labrador Retriever (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large
Poor Dakota was adopted as a puppy and recently returned because she chasing chickens and can jump low fencing. IF you are looking for a beautiful and smart dog and don't have chickens...this is your girl!! From her new foster mommy:
Dakota is so incredibly sweet. Eats well.
Absolutely no signs of aggression - it's really hard to believe she's a chicken chaser!
She has shown no interest in chasing cows or going after cats.
She stays close to the front porch and cabin.
She was shy and kind of scared around the other dogs at first. It was really sweet watching Carly, Nat and Toby welcome her and try to reassure her. Carly adores her and tries to get her to play - Dakota will play outside but is really calm inside.
She's definitely been an inside dog - loves the sofa and my bed. But I made her sleep in the dog bed next to my bed.
It appears she has had very little training or socialization and her new mommy and daddy will need to work with her some. She is VERY smart and seems to learn quickly.
