Emma (July '11) "Emma has settled in very nicely, and I think she understands that this is her forever home. She is sweet as ever. We have spent a lot of time at the lake since it has been so hot, and she is adapting very quickly. She has gone swimming, and she is learning how to doggie dive off the back of the boat (with her life jacket on of course.) She also had her first river canoe trip Saturday afternoon, and she loved wading in the shallow water. She has been to the dog park enough to learn the proper doggie etiquette, and she has made several furry friends. We will keep everyone at Proverbs posted as Emma gets to experience new adventures with the family. This fall it there will be lots of camping and off-roading, so we will send pictures. Thank you for Emma and the happiness she adds to our family!"
Eddie Thank you & everyone that made our adoption of Duke & Eddie possible. We LOVE them so much!! It's amazing how much joy these 2 little boys have brought in to our home. Our friends & family have been by to meet them & they have been so wonderful! We can't believe how well they get along w/ each other! So far they seem to be adapting to their new home w/ no issues, they had a vet appt yesterday that went well, they have not had any accidents in the house (yet) & they seem to love the 3 feet of snow we have in our fenced in yard...although they get stuck sometimes that does not seem to stop them..haha! We are planning to get them some training classes soon but overall they sit, stay & let us know when they need to go to the bathroom! They are so smart & it's funny as we start to learn of their individual personalities & quirks. They play hard & sleep hard! I could go on forever about them....we also find ourselves snapping pictures of everything they do...haha. (Attached are just a few photos for you). We will keep you posted as they continue to grow! Our parents couldn't ask for better, cuter "grand-children"...haha! Thank you ALL again! We have been spreading the wonderful word of the work Peace and Paws & the Rescue Riders have provided & continue to encourage pet/rescue adoption :)
Eve Hello to all the wonderful folks at Proverbs1210, I wanted to give you all an update on our two wonderful dogs we adopted in July, Eve (now, Evie) and her puppy Emma (now Wilma). Evie and Wilma ("The Girls" as we call them) have settled in nicely in the month and 1/2 they have been with us. We weren't completely sure what it might be like to have two dogs at once but it has turned out brilliantly. They are truly sweet dogs with such nice and friendly dispositions. Wilma, the puppy, has become much more adventurous and will amble out on her own away from her mother quite willingly now. She loves to chew (Kleenex is a particular favorite) and to pounce; she's an amazing jumper. Evie wants nothing more than to either lounge in the chair or to have one of the humans pet her. When she wags her tail, her entire body undulates, she's so thrilled. We have recently added outings to the dog park to our weekly schedule and there The Girls are learning to interact with other dogs while they all run and run and run. It's great fun to watch them play and run with abandon with huge smiles on their faces. At night, they curl up between us on the bed, often maneuvering for as much real estate as possible. Good thing we have a big bed! All that to say, we couldn't be happier with our new dog companions. They bring us such joy after the sorrow of losing Gracie (our 13 year old dog who died at the beginning of June) and we are very thankful to Proverbs for keeping them safe until it was our time to find them. We feel very lucky. Thank you for all you do!
Emmy I want to share what an absolute delight Kobi has been. She is such the little person with a very expressive personality and is such a little cuddler (especially in the mornings). I work from home and she is my little helper either in my chair curled up behind me or in her bed right beside my desk. She brings such joy to my life on a daily basis I would send you ALL of the pictures we’ve taken of Kobi but you don’t have enough disk space to hold themJ I’ve attached a recent picture taken during a few days vacation on KY Lake as well as some others. As you can tell, she’s very photogenic;) Thanks so much for the wonderful work you all do for these animals. It’s a true ministry and one that I’m so proud to have supported and will continue to support. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
