Siam -NS I wanted to write you to tell you how well Siam is doing. Siam is doing great! He has adjusted very well to our family. He is definitely my cat because he follows me around and sleeps with me all the time not even hinting at sleeping with anyone else!!!! He is the talker! He lets us know when he needs something. He has gained a great deal of weight as you will see in the attached pictures. We love him very much and he is doing great.
Caleb 2 have to thank your complex network of care and logistics for the marvelous Caleb. He has since stolen my heart! He is the best snuggler, the funniest thinker and my new best friend. His new favorite things include: 1) hiding in the bathtub and giving me a heart attack when I scour the apartment and can't find him! Seriously, that little boy just wants to stay in there all day! 2) He loves the park! You know how some dogs eat grass? not this guy! His preference is for big hostas! He belly-flops into them, sticks his head under the leaves and then tries to eat them. Aparently, hostas are newfie catnip. 3) His new favorite toy is a squeeky lobster. I have to thank you - You obviously spent a lot of time, energy and heart training him. Since we've been home he has not had ONE SINGLE accident inside!!! He knows "sit," and he sits and waits for the go-ahead to come in and out of doors. And his first night here, he slept through the nite in the crate without a peep! I had no idea he was going to be so easy! Everyone on the sidewalk loves him and compliments him on his well-mannered nature and friendly yet relaxed disposition. I couldn't ask for a better puppy! Thank you for him and thank you for the work you continue to do. We'll keep you posted on his growth (which I'm sure will be extensive!) and I'll continue to send pictures of this adorable water-pup! This is a shot from his first bath here thank you again,
Grace Hi everybody! It's me - Grace. I'm sorry I haven't had time to get in touch by now. The first week for me and sis have been busy at our new home! In case you don't know, our new family changed sis's name from Bathsheba to Rachel - but she didn't mind at all! She knows her name is Rachel now and they lovingly call me Gracie :) I think it's cute. We're soooo happy here, so please don't worry about us at all! We love our new home and our family loves us so much!! We get so much hugs, kisses and toys - and they play with us all the time. That is, when we're not sleeping in our new kennel. It's cool, we're sending pics. Mom says it's super hard to get good pictures of us - especially sis 'cause she's so fast and won't be still! Mom says we learn really fast and are very smart puppies. We learned to walk on our new leashes the day we got to our brand new home. She also says our personalities (whatever that is :) is as different as the color of our fur! Mom says I'm very mature and calls me an "old soul," but I don't know what that means. Sis is very active and spunky - I like to lay around more than Rachel does, but I still play a lot and then I love to come in and plop down on this thing that blows cool air out of the floor! It's so neat!! Rachel and I both love those things! We learned very fast that we never have to fight over food and that we don't have to worry about not getting enough. Mom and Dad say we eat mannerly now, especially since we eat 3 times at day and get these tasty little things when Mom tells us to sit (we do it, too! Aren't you proud of us??) There are these slippery brown floors downstairs that we run around on all the time!! It's so much fun to play chase with sis. Mom says we are just like toddlers - no matter how many new toys we have to play with - that we always want each other's toy. I guess she's right - it's fun to grab Rachel's toy and run as fast as I can! That's one our favorite games, to chase each other all over our new house. Mom doesn't like it if we get too rough with each other - she claps her hands real loud!! Then we pay attention to her - 'cause we love her and Daddy and Emily soooo much! I'm sending a picture of me sitting in Mom's lap at this thing where I'm sending you this letter. Mom says it's a computer. Oh, I'm so glad our new family brought us home with them from Petco. I really, really like it here. There is a picture of this beautiful dog on Mom's computer screen. Her name is Sage and Mom says she's in heaven now. Mom cries sometimes but she says she loves us so much, too. She said Sage lived a very long and wonderful life and she wants the same thing for me and sis. Mom said one of her greatest wishes is for every doggie in the world to have as long and happy life and be loved unconditionally just like Sage was. Mom also said we're going to have the same kind of life as Sage. Aren't we lucky? Mom says people are the lucky ones to have doggies in their lives - cause all we want is to give and receive love - unconditionally. That part seems so easy to me and sis - and our new family. Mom says love is the easy part. I think she's right. Yeah, life is good. And a little voice whispers in my ear that it's only gonna get better. Rachel and I are very happy. Love always, Grace (and Rachel)
Jasper Saturday 4/24/10, Proverbs 12:10 took in the sweet baby who was found by a deputy sheriff. Jasper's lower right front leg was missing and the bones protruding. Animal control said, "Blow his brains out and put him out of his misery." The Boarding facility said he was too aggressive to board. It breaks my heart to think of the countless animals who growl out of fear that are put to death by people too impatient to work with them. Just look at Japser NOW!! and think about what could have happened. After a few short weeks, he has come through the amputation of his leg, found a loving, caring home and is a contented housedog. I personally want to thank the officer who took time to get this boy help, the folks who donated, Cornerstone who treated him, and now, Jessica who loves him. This, my friends, is what rescue is about. God bless Jasper! LIFE IS A GIFT! Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
